3. Story summary • Jess(Jessica) is the main character who loves swimming. She has a grandpa. One day, grandpa black out because of heart failure. When he come back, he suggest to break. Jess’s grandpa decide to complete his work(painting). The paint’s name is ‘River Boy’. In the picture, there is a river but boy isn’t seen.

4. Story summary 2 • Someday, Jess could meet river boy at the upper river. The boy ask to Jess to meet at tomorrow morning. When he met Jess, he ask please swimming to sea together. During swimming, her grandpa died, and river boy disappeared. After Jess sprinkle grandpa’s skeletal remains, she dive into the sea.

5. Impressive part • My impressive part was the explanation of the paint. It gave me some dreamlike feeling. I think it will be solved at the last of the book.

6. My opinion • This book’s level is not very easy to me. But I think I can over reading. A years ago, I read this book’s translation, and I got a big movement. So I choose this book. This novel is bildungsroman(성장소설). And it’ll give me a good chance to establish myself.
