  2. Saying what you think and giving opinions in Japanese • When you say what you think or give an opinion in Japanese, you use the verb 思（おも）います. • The sentence pattern is given below: Opinion in the plain form ＋と思います。

  3. Subtle differences in meaning: Opinion in the plain form ＋と思います。 (I generally think) Opinion in the plain form ＋と思っています。 ( I think (at the moment)) Opinion in the plain form ＋と思いました。 (I thought)

  4. Using 思う with な adjectives and nouns • Sentence pattern: なadj/nounだと思う。 E.g.　ブラッド・ピットはハンソムな人だと思う。 E.g.　ブラッド・ピットは有名（ゆうめい）だと思う。 E.g.　漢字が簡単（かんたん）だと思う。 E.g.　スピーキング・テストは一番下手だと思う。

  8. Using 思う with a sentence • Sentence pattern: Opinion in the plain form ＋と思う。 E.g.　今年（ことし）愛李（あいり）先生（せんせい）はオーストラリアに来ると思う。 E.g.　来年（らいねん）大学（だいがく）で日本語を勉強（べんきょう）したいと思う。 E.g.明日ローズ先生はピンクのドレスを着（き）ると思う。
