  3. Respect yourself and others Draw only POSITIVE attention to yourself • Use art materials and tools appropriately as instructed Everything in the art room is either a material or tool • Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself Touching anyone for any reason is considered disrespect

  4. Benefits of Good Choices

  5. Happy Teacher, more pleasant atmosphere • Good Grade • More Freedom of Choice • One Merit • Five Merit gets a KUDO (Kudos are art dollar bills. You can spend them on art supplies and other things)

  6. Consequences of Bad Choices

  7. Verbal warning • Name on board or list • Mark by name • Mark by name • Mark by name (1 demerit) • Write off to be done in art class while others work on projects. (1 demerit) • 5 demerits will go to the office.

  8. PROCEDURES • Enter room quietly and be seated • If you have start out work assigned please, begin. • Look on the chart to see who are gatherers, cleaners, paper people and manager. • When alerted begin cleaning up immediately • Be seated and ready for check offs. • Leave the art room quickly and quietly

  9. GRADING ART WILL NOW BE A GRADED SUBJECT FOR GRADES 3-8 IT WILL affect the honor roll IT WILL affect sports participation GRADES ARE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING

  10. PARTICIPATION----50% • FOLLOWING CODE OF ETHICS • PRODUCTIVELY WORKING • LISTENING AT ALL TIME • FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS WHEN TOLD • DOING YOUR VERY BEST

  11. PROJECT ASSESSMENT • CONTENT Project shows understanding of content or concept • CRAFTSMANSHIP Is well made and shows attention to detail CREATIVITY Shows unique thought process and personal style while following the rubric • COMPLIANCE • Shows the student has followed the rubic
