  2. Progress on actions • ACTION: Understand what is the timescale from VSC to define apertures of existing equipment in the layout DB. Can they start to provide information on new equipment? Is the format of the information in the layout database defined and sufficient (offsets? Shape?) • Re-organisation of the activities related with rings modelling • Clear ideas on the structure of the information(re-using what has been developed by Ilias). ABT will join in using the same approach. • Discussions with layout experts to understand the situation • Rings description • Injectors with different level of completeness, e.g. AD and ELENA exported to EN-EA, PS with good progress. • Re-work of PS model in full swing. Excellent collaboration with EN-ACE • Aperture description • SPS: implemented by them • PS: completely missing • It seems hard to get support from VSC. • Support from OP is possible (cross-check of SPS aperture model and creation of the PS model). • We need to define how to describe the PS aperture model.   3. Progress on actions • ACTION: When should the barrier bucket be tested again post LS2. Should the restart for SFT + MTE be made like before LS2. Implementation and timescale (which year, 2021, 2022?) Discussion needed with RF and operation. • Certainly, the start up will be performed as before LS2. • We are progressing with the data analysis of the tests carried out in 2018, but we need additional beam time to study • PS-SPS synchronisation (still an open point, RF experts should study it) • Barrier bucket performance of SPS after changes during LS2 (it should be better). • Moreover, we need to check the overall MTE performance with the new vertical emittance from Linac4 ABP Injectors Day Follow up - HSS

  4. Progress on actions • ACTION: The vertical BGI is being installed. Prepare for emittance measurements with this? Noted that feedback is needed from the analysis of the Horizontal BGI data to determine the characteristics of the Vertical one. What is needed and when? • This topics is being followed up in the LIU-PS BD WG. • Alex has regular meetings with the BI colleagues (roughly once per month) together with ABT, as there is interest in the potential of the BGI during the first turns. • Two independent approaches for the data treatment are being considered and they should be wrapped up in one of the upcoming meetings.
