Program Background • 2016 Pilot Program launched • Administered by WRCOG • In partnership with UCR, CBU and CSUSB • To address “brain drain” and fulfill the region’s need for a robust public sector workforce • WRCOG responsible for: • General oversight, administering stipends, coordinating monthly training sessions & matching Fellows with agencies • Universities responsible: • Receiving and vetting candidate applications, program support and advisor to Fellows throughout the Program
