Program Rules • For initial orders: • FTE/desktop/student count must match Enrollment • Additional products (mid yr) • FTE/desktop/student count must match Enrollment/initial order quantity • 3 year option: For Anniversary Orders: • FTE/Desktops/students count must be greater than or equal to initial order • The customer must have selected Student option in their original Enrollment to order student SKUs • 1 year option: For Extension Orders: • The customer must have selected Student option in their original Enrollment to order student SKUs • Unit count minimum requirement must still be met
Campus/School HighlightsAbility to Add Products or Affiliates Mid-Term • Additional products/affiliates can be added to an existing subscription enrollment at any time • Full year prices will still be charged • Coverage term will match existing enrollment • Minimum order size only applies to initial order

Transition Period • A 120-day transition period will be allowed for continued submittal of version 3.2 contracts • Please note that a 3.2 customers renewing into 3.4 must sign a 3.4 agreement and a 3.4 enrollment
Pricing • There are no changes to pricing • Product change: addition of Office Live meeting SKUs on May pricelist • Internal and external users: pricing information is available on Explore/MSOps
Fulfillment • The fulfilment model is the same as 3.2 • Welcome kit is shipped on enrollment activation using the language and contact specified on the Media fulfilment form • Monthly update kits sent as applicable and if requested on the media shipment form
Revised COCP process • In order to request a change of Channel Partner, direct partners should use Forms for COCP for APOC • All changes of indirect reseller must be accompanied by a hard copy written request from the end customer. Email is not sufficient. • Forms will be posted on Explore.ms under Campus > Forms or School > Forms

What is MSDN Academic Alliance? • MSDN Academic Alliance (or MSDNAA) is the Microsoft Developer’s Network software subscription aimed at educational institutions. • Features include: • Software licenses for the labs • Software Licenses for the students • All licenses are for education and instructional purposes only (not for production)
How is MSDNAA Fulfilled? • Customers will receive a link to the website and a promo code in their Welcome letter • Customers must register on the website • A Welcome Kit is sent after registering and contains all the content to start the subscription • Monthly mailers are sent out to update the contents of the subscription • For multi-year agreements, customers will re-register on the website each year to continue receiving the subscription reminder emails will be sent out at 90/60/30 days prior to the expiry date
Redistribution of Software Updates to Students • The new language addresses this issue as follows: • Extends rights that permit eligible educational institutions to redistribute “Software Updates” to Student owned devices • Outlines scope and method of permitted redistribution of “Software Updates”.
Consortia: Contractual Framework The Consortia contracts are made up of the three following documents: • The Agreement • The Subscription Enrollment • The Consortia Amendment (Includes the participation table) • Must receive approval from Microsoft Account Manager prior to positioning with customer • List of Account Managers is available from PAM

The New Enrollment and Order Process – 1 year option • Step 1 – Channel Partner sends Agreement and Enrollment forms (Avail via Explore MS) together to Microsoft Australia and please do NOT send directly to APOC • Step 2 – Regional Operations Center receives Agreement and Enrollment forms • Step 3 – Contract processing • Step 4 – Activation of enrollment • Notifications triggered • Media shipped • Step 5 – Channel Partner places order • After activation, the Channel Partner places the order via the MOET/EDI systems using the enrollment number • Once an order is placed it will go into a status of “Hold” • Step 6 – Order Processing: Operations verification of order • Operations validates the orders • There is a potential for rejection • Once the order is submitted through MS systems, the Order status on MOET will change to Accepted and an order confirmation will be sent
Extension Process For The 1 Year Option • Step 1 – Reminders on non-receipt of an order or extension request • Enrollment is nearing one year anniversary • Reminder notification sent if no order is received • Notifications 60 days and 30 days before expiration • If the request has not been received by the expiration date, then enrollment will expire and an expiration notification is sent • Extension requests received after the expiration date will not be accepted and a new enrollment must be signed • Step 2 – Channel Partner submits enrollment extension request via APLQuest • Channel Partner submits enrollment extension form request via APLQuest • Requests should include: • The request for the enrollment to be extended by one year • Enrollment number • Customer name • Step 3 – Operations processes enrollment extension • Step 4 – Customer and Partner receive Change of contract duration notification • Step 5 – Channel Partner places extension order on MOET • Channel partner must ensure that the correct usage date is specified, when placing extension orders • Step 6 – Once the order has been accepted, an order confirmation is sent
The New Enrollment and Order Process – 3 Year enrollment • Initial order process is per one year option • Anniversary ordering: Anniversary orders must be placed for years 2/3 • On expiration, the customer must submit a new enrollment to continue their license coverage
3 Year Enrollment – Anniversary Ordering • Step 1 – Reminders to place Anniversary Order • Reminder notifications 45 days before anniversary, on the anniversary day, 30 days after no order has been received • 60 days: termination • If an order has already been received, then none of the notification letters are sent out • Step 2 – Channel Partner submits Anniversary Order via MOET/EDI • Channel partner places the Anniversary Order via MOET/EDI. • Step 3 – Once the order has been accepted, an order confirmation is sent
