ONE STOP OPERATOR • Updates • Grant Associates has hired a new Director for the project: Sheree Finley • Grant Associates continue to work towards hiring a data analyst for the project • The next meeting with AJC managers and front line staff will be February 11, 2019 • Grant Associates continues to work with DOES and WIC staff to deliver marketing and outreach materials, including videos 2) Discussion • Proposed revisions to Grant Associates/OSO contract (see handout) • IMPAQ Evaluation • Feedback from AJC Partners (convened a kick-off meeting December 5, 2019)
TRANSPARENCY ACT 1) Data Update • Contract with OCTO to build QuickBase application; all required agency data has been entered to date. • During recent review it became clear that additional data scrubs would be necessary to ensure accurate and reliable reporting, as well as to support aggregation of data where appropriate. • WIC will continue to work with agencies to clarify and adjust data as necessary, towards delivery of the Workforce Development Expenditure Guide. 2) Online Interface and Stakeholder Engagement (Discussion) • During the WIC Board member call on January 16, 2019, Board members recommended engagement of several groups to ensure Expenditure Guide data is accessible and useful to all. • There is a desire to determine where there are overlaps and gaps between the Expenditure Guide and a Workforce Development Dashboard. • Stakeholders: • Residents (job-seekers) • Philanthropic organizations • Businesses • Government agencies
COMMUNICATIONS To develop a strategic communications plan for the remainder of FY19 and beyond, we must first identify and define for our key stakeholders: • What key messages or relevant information do they require or need? • What are the best ways to communicate with them (frequency, medium, etc.)? • Agency Partners • Business Leaders • Government Leaders • Philanthropy • Residents • Training and Service Providers • WIC Board • Others?
2019 PRIORITIES People, Priorities, Purpose (DELIBERATIVE) 1) PEOPLE • Filling vacancies • Building culture • Strengthening internal management and operations 2) PRIORITIES • Effective and efficient delivery of “Must Do” work • Clarify roles and responsibilities among partners • Identify opportunities to support accelerated workforce programming 3) PURPOSE • Remain focused on improving outcomes for residents and supporting employers’ access to excellent talent
