Technical Assistance for ES modernization • Review of existing system • Provide options information, automatics, telemechanics systems upgrade • Study tours • Setup relationships with GDA with General Electrics • Development of educational programs for: • Maintenance engineers • Other technical maintenance personnel • Upgrade Turkmen Energy Institute Curricula • Loss Reduction Analysis (Continue PSS/E modeling) • Integration of PSS\E course into Energy Institute Curricula
Analysis of Alternative Energy Sources • Cooperation with Academy of Sciences in setting up and development of a Renewable Energy Center (1 room in the premises of Academy of Sciences; setting up prototypes of renewable equipment) • Support pilot\demonstration projects in wind & solar generating plants in desert settlement • Provide support for development/update of a National Renewable Energy Strategy
Education and Traning on Regional Market Development • Support for participation of Turkmen specialists in CAREC training activities • PPA Rules & Regulations • Other Power Trade related International Standards
Next Steps • Meeting with Cabinet of Ministers TKM & • Meeting with Minister of Energy to present REMAP II opportunities • Based on meeting outcomes propose in written form the work plan for next 12 months (or shorter) • Do this ASAP
