  2. Why Joel Will be a Great President • I am experienced, a veteran Student Council member, and Boy Scout. I’ve proved I can lead as a successful Patrol leader in Boy Scouts. • I was recognized as GT and have been a part of GT courses and activities since the fourth grade. • I have good ideas and I’m familiar with politics. • There were many people asking to run with me because together, we would make great President and Vice president. I sadly could only choose one of these highly qualified students, and that one, is Garrett Mowery. • I qualified for the ACT and Received a higher score than 40% of high-school students • I have submitted and expect to be admitted to NJHS. • Playing baseball as long as we have, Garrett and I have both acquired teamwork, and leadership abilities. • When I lead, I make the best of every situation and have fun doing it. If one doesn’t like, and respect the leader, he/she is NOT doing their job. I am prepared.

  3. Why Garrett Mowery will be an excellent Vice-President I am a well qualified student for Vice–President for many reasons. • I have a history of leadership. I, as well as Joel Fowler, was a Boy Scout. Being in the Boy Scouts taught me leadership, and the flexibility to adjust to any situation I face. • I am a team player. I have participated in team sports for ten years which taught me not only leadership, but also how to work with many types of people. • I strive for excellence. I have received many academic awards including; The Presidential Academic Achievement Award, submitted my application to the National Junior Honor Society, and was accepted into GT classes.I was also nominated by my seventh grade teacher to attend the National Young Leaders State Conference; to be nominated, one must demonstrate and have a history of Leadership and academic success. • I am also a 3 year participant in UIL, and have been in Men Of Honor as well as Promise Makers for Two Years. I am ready to lead!

Together The most important quality needed to be the Student Council President and Vice-President is a quality that Garrett and I both possess; the ability to work with others for the greater good. Garrett and I will work hard through the toughest of situations with selflessness, and the knowledge of how to overcome any difficult challenge we face. We will make the bestof our opportunity.
