Kickers MKI and MKQA • MKI point 8: • Installation: summer (generators, HV cables) autumn – winter (magnets) 2005 • Hardware Commissioning likely during spring / summer 2006 • Hardware Commissioning test procedures described in EDMS document 481639 • Need to be ready for Sector Test in November 2006 • MKI point 2 • Installation: t.b.defined • Hardware Commissioning in spring 2007 • Procedures defined & published, as for point 8 • MKQA point 4 • Installation: after MKI point 2 • Likely not synchronous with other HC activities in point 4 HC review 13 Mai 2005

Beam Dumping System Point 6 • Kickers: • Installation extraction kickers MKD spring 2006 Installation dilution kickers MKB summer 2006 • Hardware Commissioning winter 2006 / 2007 • Procedures: EDMS document in preparation • Protection elements TCDS and TCDQ • Installation summer 2006 • Hardware Commissioning winter 2006 / 2007 • Procedures in same EDMS document as kickers, in preparation • Needs to be followed by reliability run of three months (of the complete beam dumping system !) • System level commissioning • In spring 2007 • In parallel with hardware commissioning in point 2 HC review 13 Mai 2005

  4. Main concerns • Detailed planning of equipment HC activities needed, especially to check for interferences (include in LHC planning!). • Detailed planning of system level tests (scheduling and responsibility) to be defined. • Critical path for TI 2 end and IR2 injection. • Beam dumping system reliability run to be included in LHC planning. HC review 13 Mai 2005
