Smooth muscle • Found in intestines, bladder, blood vessels, and other internal organs • Involuntary • Non-striated
Cardiac • Only found in the heart • Striated like skeletal muscle • However, it is involuntary-you have no control over it
Skeletal • Striated • Voluntary • Most common type found in your body
Muscles • Muscles work in pairs. • They are called extensors and flexors. • When the extensor contracts the flexor relaxes and when extensor relaxes than the flexor contracts.
