I AM GOING TO : I HAVE DECIDED TO DO STH. Today, I am going to drive my new motorcycle, then I am going to phone my best friend and finally I am going to read my favourite novel.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS The present continuous is used to describe plans and arrangements which are definite. Such arrangements may be written in a diary. • I’m flying to London tomorrow morning. The present continuous is used to describe fixed arrangements, and to ask about social arrangements. • Are you doing anything this evening?
How does it work? • It all depends on the level of certainty. • Sudden decision: We’ll go to the Canary Islands! • Plan or intention: I’m going to(go to ) the US next summer. • Fixed arrangement: I´m leaving tomorrow.
