Complication for ‘smart’ systems • ‘Smart’ systems have embedded PC, will run EPICS locally – BPM, BCM, DCCT, BLM,… • Still evaluating whether to go with Libera or Xilinx • DCCT is Xilinx – acceptance testing next month • Libera demo delayed by I-Tech vendor board manufacturing problems, demo box due late August • Steep learning curve for Libera box – everything we need to know for Xilinx, plus learning to live with the Libera wrapper • Libera user’s meeting early September in Slovenia
