Who influenced fashion? • Women just started to be in the work force and they needed to be comfortable and active in their clothing. • And the corset was abandon • Coco Chanel was a major figure, people liked her chic and progressive designs. • Bouffant introduced the short bobs. • Jeanne Lanvin made sports wear, furs, lingerie and men's fashion.

  3. What was the prominent silhouette? • The women were looking more mannish. • Their was no waist, their was no bust. • The shoulders are broader. • It emphasised a flat chest their were no womanly curves as the clothing's were becoming more simplified.

  4. What were the fashion trends? Women: • Flapper dresses (can be short or long, the neckline was either square or straight) • Spaghetti straps • Bras were first used in the 1920s • Large coats

  6. What colours were popular? • Bright and vibrant colours. • Standard colour was blue for women's dresses. • White meant purity

  8. What clothing parallels can be made to other time periods? • Spaghetti straps they were in the 1920s and still are now. • Large coats
