Women’s fashion • Women's fashion dramatically changed in the early 1920’s • Art was a great influence on the change of women's fashion. • Women’s clothing became more comfortable . • They began to wear shorter skirts. (knee length)
Bustles and corsets were forgotten • Women began to wear loose dresses that had straight silhouettes. • Women cut their hair short to fit under popular hats called cloche hats.
Men's Fashion • Men's fashion also changed. They began to wear extremely high-waisted jackets, mostly worn with belts. • Lapels on suit jackets were not as wide as they used to be, because men tended to button them up high.
Trousers were narrow and straight, and they were often somewhat short, so a man’s socks would show. • Men’s would wear hats base on their class. Upper-class men usually wore top hats, middle class would wear trilby hats, lowers class would wear flat cap sor none at all.
