SHIN-NY SCP EMPI Subgroup ProgressCo-chair: Mark Greaker • Subgroup discussed the various workflow data models required for the Patient Look-up Service from an architecture standpoint • Additional discussions will occur to finalize data flow process • Data Stewardship models were discussed and what each Qualified Entity will be responsible for versus the statewide EMPI • Additional discussions will occur once software build begins to identify what each party is responsible for • Reviewing security models in statewide Patient Look-up Service • SAML tokens + x.509 V3 Certs versus TLS + X.509 V3
SHIN-NY SCP EMPI Subgroup ProgressCo-chair: Mark Greaker • Collaborative Care Workgroup met to finalize system workflow from a clinicians perspective • Group agreed to move forward with a workflow that allows the following: • Patient is queried • Document list is presented of available documents throughout the state • Healthcare practitioner will select one or multiple documents as required based on practitioners discretion • Functional Specification document preliminary finalized will be approved by everyone during Face to Face meeting in Albany on Tuesday June 28th, 2011

SHIN-NY SCP UPHN Subgroup ProgressCo-chair: Ivan Gotham • NY City comments on IBIE • Immunization registries working with CDC to develop specs for Immunization interface to EHR ( details unknown) • (Note: Publish-subscribe more appropriate to the batch use case) • NYC Immunization - already has web svc implementation - for VXU/VXQ • NYC Immunization– sees value in real time sue case for exchange • NYC Immunization – does not see value in hierarchical structure for exchange
