SLiC OPC server (Mark Beharrell) CANbus adapter: PCI-CAN Kvaser cardADDITIONAL CLIENT WIENER PL500 OPC20CanOpen.OPC CANbus adapter: PCI-CAN Kvaser card ADDITIONAL TOOLS to manage the BUS + CLIENT ELMB ALICE week / DCS workshop - Sept 20, 2004

Developments on the VR board (I) • All the following features implemented: • ON/OFF (inhibit) • OVC flag • Current limit • Voltage and current monitoring • Control signals photo-insulated from VR ground • No additional power supply required • Remote Vout settings (under test) • Control and Read-outsoftware updated (new panels, see next slide), PVSS ELMBframework 2.0.4 used • People involved: (Antonio Dalessandro), Michele Caselle, Leonid Vinogradov New Board successfully tested in the Bari Lab ! ALICE week / DCS workshop - Sept 20, 2004

Current developments (II) • Wiener OPC Server • Official release, version 1.6 for W2K and WXP • Based on CanOpen protocol, Kvaser and NI Can cards supported. • OPCCanOPEN v.2.5+ • New features with respect to previous version (2.5) • Developed within ATLAS • Improved performances combined with the new framework 2.0.8 • (created by Fernando Valera) and with software tools devoted to the • reading and settings of both ELMB and CANbus ALICE week / DCS workshop - Sept 20, 2004
