  3. Fighting Begins • Lexington, Mass– The first shot is fired! • Backstory: • Minutemen begin to collect guns and ammo • Def: ? • The British Find out!! • Send the troops to Concord to destroy all of the ammunition Send for Paul Revere!!! Warn the Colonists!

The Continental Congress-52 delegates from the 13 colonies • If the British use force… We will fight back!!! • Acts as a Governing Body of the Colonies • -Appoints George Washington as commander of the Continental Army • -Prints paper Money • -Organize a committee to deal with Foreign relations • -Send out the Olive Branch Petition… REJECTED!
