Whatisit? • Consorzio Colli Berici-Basso Vicentino is the associationofall the “Pro-Loco”of the area • Pro Loco are associations of volunteers who work to promote local heritage and products, safeguard the environment and organize social activities for citizens • Consorzio is composed by a small group of workers, the structure is small and flexibile • A guarantee of Support-&-Promotion to different activities
Whereisit? • In central part of Veneto (north East of Italy) • In BericiHills ('ColliBerici'), that are a group of hills with a total area of about 165 km² • Veneto isfamousforVenice (historical city), sea and mountains (Dolomiti)…andhills??? Mainproblems: • The mostoftouristsprefers city of art (Venice and Padova) or biggermountains (Asiago or Dolomiti) • This area ispartiallyabandonedby the inhabitants, thatpreferto live in the city • Howispossibletopromotetourism in this area and supporteconomicalactivities?
Localneeds: • To promote local products, but with a good coordination • To Involve different commercial activities (hotels, restaurant, farmers, schools) • Create a new kind of tourism that can be competitive • To involve municipalities and institutions • To do a good promotion for typical products and events with significative brand
