Meetings and outcomes – June 2009 At TNC 0.5 day TF-PR, 1 day joint meeting with TF-MSP Reviewed terms and deliverables. Main outcome: task force should have less emphasis on concrete deliverables, more emphasis on information and knowledge exchange between participants TF-PR sat in on TF-MSP meeting
Meetings and outcomes – Sept 2009 (I) Co-located at GN3 Symposia 1 day TF-PR in Vienna (host: ACOnet), 1 day GN3 PR Network at Symposia hotel TF-PR day was very interactive day with workshops and presentations. Well received by participants, particularly preferred the structure of discussions and case studies instead of presentations
Meetings and outcomes - Sept 2009 (II) Topics covered: Marketing AAI (ARNES) Measuring success of a marketing campaign (case studies worked in teams) Social networking tools for NRENs (presentation). TF-PR Compendium discussion - outcome: increase value of TF-PR Compendium by defining useful questions for ‘developed NRENs’ (not only for ‘less developed’ NRENS) Terms of reference discussion > new name of task force to reflect broad range of marketing responsibilities of members (not only PR) > deliverables: 1) TF-CPR Compendium (SURFnet /TERENA), 2) TF-CPR meetings, 3) TF-CPR repository (TERENA/Dante), 4) community news list development (coordinated by TERENA) Building better ‘pr community’ distribution lists: TERENA will request more NREN contact data for PeaR from TF-CPR members, and coordinate clean up of task force email groups.
