Regular -er verbs in present tense. To conjugate regular -er verbs in the present tense, take off the -er from the infinitive and add the following endings: (je) -e (nous) -ons (tu) -es (vous) -ez (il, elle) -e (ils, elles) -ent. danser – to dance. je danse nous dansons

  4. Making regular -er verbs negative in the present tense To make a verb negative, add “ne” in front of the verb and “pas” immediately after it. danser Je danse. “I am dancing.” or “I dance.” Je ne danse pas. “I am not dancing.” “I do not dance.”
