  1. Regular Present tense Verbs conjugations

What is an ‘infinitive’? • An infinitive form of a verb is the verb in its purest form (meaning without being conjugated or altered in any way). • All verbs in English that have the word “to” in front of the verb such as “to run”, “to jump”, “to eat” are in it’s infinitive form. • Verbs in Spanish that are in it’s infinitive end in either –Ar, -Er or –Ir. • The Ar, Er or Ir is the equivalent to the English word “to” in front of the verbs.

  3. Regular -Ar verbs • -Ar verbs are simply verbs that end in -AR • Examples: Abrazar, besar, comprar, arreglar • To conjugate these verbs, remove the –Ar and add the appropriate ending. • The ending has to match the person that is being discussed (1st person, 2nd person, etc…)

  4. Regular –Ar verb endings (present tense)

  5. Regular -Er verbs • -Er verbs are simply verbs that end in –Er • Examples: Comer, correr, beber, • To conjugate these verbs, remove the –Er and add the appropriate ending. • The ending has to match the person that is being discussed (1st person, 2nd person, etc…)

  7. Regular -Ir verbs • -Ir verbs are simply verbs that end in –Ir • Examples: Salir, vivir, servir, • To conjugate these verbs, remove the –Ir and add the appropriate ending. • The ending has to match the person that is being discussed (1st person, 2nd person, etc…)

(cantar) _____ una canción. • Sara, Perla, Camila y yo (arreglar)___ la lámpara.
