Taking Text Notes • D. Download notes, and key terms review sheet READ THEM FIRST, then read assignment. • If you use these notes as your own – • ANNOTATE THEM. • This means underline key things in them as your read, add your own notes, etc. In short, make them YOUR notes.
Don't fall behind in textbook reading! • Read a little every night, take what notes you can. Some are always better than none. • Use the pre-written notes as you read. • If you don't understand , ask about it ASAP!
Don't just skip over words/terms you don't understand • Re-read, break out a dictionary, check context, ask the teacher! • Same thing in class. If he or she says something that confuses you - GET UNCONFUSED ASAP!
