If doing a Porcelain Bridge you will use the following codes: D6750 for all Abutments(Retainers) D6240 for all pontics If doing a Full Metal Bridge you will use the following codes: D6790 for all abutments (retainers) D6211 for all pontics BRIDGES ***All Bridge codes will be under the category “Fixed Prosthetics”***
First step when treatment planning bridges is.. Teeth that will be used as pontics should be marked missing. For example you are entering a bridge from #29-31…. BRIDGES
Select tooth #30 (pontic)… Right click… Select missing… See next slide CONTINUED
Now you need to enter the abutments. Highlight tooth and procedure code… Treatment plan… BRIDGES
BRIDGES • All units (abutments and pontics) must be of the same status at all times…For example: • When procedure is started and marked “in process” • When procedure has been “completed” • Dates on all units should ALWAYS be the same (All units are attached).
