Safety • Only Education Officer is allowed to bring the team for competition. AED not allowed. • Things to bring during the game • First aid kit • Hot/Cold spray • Ice • Submission of the “Baseline Safety Standards” checklist
Enhanced Insurance Coverage • Basketball identified as high risk • Make sure your team is covered under the enhanced coverage
Supporters • Supporters are not allowed to sit with the team. • Only names mentioned in the ‘Bench Personnel Registration Form’ are allowed. • If the school decides to bring supporters, ensure that there are enough teachers accompanying and managing them.
Professional Conduct of Teacher in Charge • Control your players • Control your teachers • Control your coaches • Control your school students • Only teacher can approach the referee for clarifications (inclusive teacher-coach)
Court Booking Payment • No sponsorship • $49.80 each school for first round
Referees Payment • Referees ($25 each) • Table Officials ($12.50 each) • Each game: 2 referees and 3 table officials • Total per game: $112.50
Scoreboard & Shot Clock Payment • Scoreboard ($8 per game) • Shot Clock ($4 per game) • Total per game: $12
Payment from each school • First Round consist of 3 games for each school • Total each school has to pay for first round: $236.55
Finance • No cash payment is needed. • A journal adjustment will be deducted from your school • For non-government school, payment by cheque is to be made to “Jurong Secondary School”.
Venue • Clementi Sports Hall / Jurong Sec Sch / Jurong East Sports Hall • First game on 25 March (Monday)
Game Playing Time • Running game time will be utilised for the preliminary round and second round of the national competitions for both divisions. • (1st round) - Normal game clock with stoppage will be played in the last 2 minutes of the last quarter • (2nd round) - Normal game clock with stoppage will be played for the whole of last quarter. • (Semi-finals onward) - The normal game clock with stoppages (for all quarters).
Things to submit • ‘Registration Form’, with copies of your students’ passes, only if you have changes to be made from the Zone competition. (Submit before the start of your first game) • ‘Bench Personnel Registration’. (Submit before the start of your first game) • ‘Special Request for School Function’. (Submit thru email/fax by 15 March) • Baseline Safety Standards for Basketball. (Submit before the start of your first game)
