Attendance Regular Attendance is Essential for learning at OLGS Students must be unpacked and in their classrooms by 7:50 a.m. Parent/guardian must call the school between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. to report absences. A doctor’s certificate is required for re-admission when: Student has been absent 3 consecutive days. Student has a communicable disease.
Attendance2 Vacations during the school year are strongly discouraged. Missed work and assignments may only be obtained upon return. More than 20 days absent per year is considered excessive. Parent/principal meeting Summer school
Attendance3 If a student is home for more than 1 day, please make arrangements to pick up or have homework sent by a sibling or neighbor. (Notify school by 1:30 p.m.) Dismissal is 2:40 p.m. All students must be picked up by 3:00 p.m.

Homework3 Missing Assignments (new school-wide policy for 2011/2012) If due to illness, must be handed in within 2 days after student returns to school. If due to carelessness, assignment will only be accepted on the following day and will be graded one letter grade lower as a consequence for lateness.
