Aims of Three Proposed New Services • Provide and co-ordinate additional support to improve performance and delivery within the sector • Enhance communications and sharing of good practice and information within the sector • Establish new, and improve existing, partnership working arrangements

Charity Rescue Team • Typical Problems – financial difficulties; lack of volunteers (trustee body or otherwise); inappropriate governing documents and working practices; mission drift; meeting legislative requirements; isolation and poor communications, lack of information. • Network of expert advisers (governance, finance, volunteering; marketing etc.) • Range of relevant on-line information sheets • Single point of contact to access service

Ideas Factory • Promote “offer” of promotional platform widely via existing communication channels • Bank of expert advisers to help develop ideas and produce toolkit (process) • Endorsement and promotion of ideas through VCS Commissioning Board, LEP, CVS Infrastructure Organisations • Promotion of new services via VSF, VCS, CC communication channels • Single point of contact to access service

User Assurance Service • Aim to enhance user experience and improve VCS organisation’s services to them • Provide support to check governance arrangements, organisational aims, resources and understand user’s needs • Provide support to research user base (e.g. SurveyMonkey questionnaires, workshops, telephone, as appropriate) • Provide feedback and help with implementing new/enhanced services • Single point of contact to access service

Available Resources • Money – may need to initially operate within existing budget constraints but explore new funding options and assess future sustainability • Human expertise within CVS Infrastructure Organisations, Cornwall Council and other bodies • Communications – VSF and partner newsletters, websites, social media • Existing VCS and CC Networks, VCS Commissioning Board

In Summary New services are designed to: • Strengthen links and working arrangements between Public Sector and VCS (may be a role for the private sector as well e.g. legal or business advice) • Identify and promote best practice • Help groups identify and respond to user needs • Helps groups adapt to change and identify new opportunities • Increase resilience and sustainability of CVS organisations • Enable assessment of whether demand could make them financially sustainable
