Bottlenecks • University’s Limited Support • Day & Time constraints to use Campus facilities • Communication Gap • Insufficient Working Funds • Hard To Find Volunteers & Contributors • Alumni at large just don’t want to keep a link as they find no sense of association, and would prefer going abroad or other local Institutes like LUMS for Masters/PhD because of • ad-hoc rules & policies • tense relationship issues (accounts, academics, faculty) • lack of research facilities & research culture including very limited financial support for Masters/PhD students & researchers
Proposed Solutions • Few words by Alumni Representative (like President OSAF) in events like Convocation, Welcome, Farewell • Inviting members of Alumni Association as guests on recent Convocation was a step forward in this regard initiated by Director, Lahore Campus, Dr. Arshad Hussain [worth appreciation] • University inviting Alumni to attend homecoming event organized by University in collaboration with OSAF • Designating an individual as representative of University to attend OSAF meetings
