You should use your notes from the previous lesson , your textbook pages , and THE POLITICAL CARTOON STRATEGIES PINK PACKET. Thursday, Dec 22, 2011 • Class: Ms. Barben is going to read aloud the “History Makers: Maximilien Robespierre Master and Victim of the Terror”, and as she reads aloud highlight key points from the biography. • Individual: Type Two Prompt--- Now answer the following Reflection Questions on the biography. Think back to Oliver Cromwell in England, Louis XIV in France, and Catherine the Great in Russia to help with this. • What about Robespierre might have appealed to others? Who and why? • Why did Robespierre eliminate the Hebertists and the Indulgents? Explain. • How did Robespierre’s methods turn against him? Explain. • Class: Share responses to Reflection Questions. • We will then watch, the short You Tube Clip or United Streaming Clip depending on whether You Tube is working, on the Reign of Terror. As we watch, take notes in the provided Five Ws and How graphic organizer.
