Local Investment and Development (Continued) • Motherwell consists of approx 265 000 households • St George road is a major main road with heavy traffic all day long • General Motors plant is in close vicinity with thousands of workers • Wells Estate is developed in close vicinity with approx 4000 homes • Petro SA to develop new oil refinery in 2014 with R 80 billion layout • CAW invested more than R 300 million in their car and truck plant • Approx 4000 gap houses are to be built is close proximity
