  5. Local learninghow does it happen? ULRs and Branches work to: assess learning needs • Provide information and advice to members • Engage staff in learning events – lifelong and professional development • Work with partners to deliver sessions such as managing behaviour and creativity

  6. Local learningwhen does it happen? After work and on Saturdays Local events have included: • Homophobic bullying • Voice care • Thinking Skills • Dyslexia • Raising boys achievement • Managing challenging behaviour

  7. Local Learninghow you can get involved • Support local learning events • Attend local branch meeting • Inform your branch secretary of any issues around learning • Find out more about the role of a ULR • Become a ULR in your workplace

  8. Reps courses Union learning Representative courses • Raising awareness and promoting the value of learning • Providing information on learning and identifying learning needs • Monitoring quality of provision, and supporting equal opportunities in learning. ATL needs you!
