Abstract 人文學科的電子出版品快速增加，包含英國和美國文學。圖書館員須知道更多特色和協助讀者使用電子資源(庫)。此文章主要是觀察莎士比亞電子版作品和挑選近期可取得的英、美文學電子資源。

●優點: • Open a wide window on to the text. • 學生也能賦予有探究文章的能力。 ●特性: • 能夠模糊或精確的蒐尋單字或語句組合，是出自於哪篇獨特的文章。 • 只靠著了解某作品關鍵部份搜尋，都可知出自於哪一劇作。 ●結果: • 被一些圖書館認為很容易上手，有價值的參考工具和查詢作品獨特資源。

The Oxford University Press Electronic Shakespeare • 牛津大學出版社:嚴謹校定出版電子版莎士比亞。 • Micro-OCP:電子文章如何被使用。 • 設計ASCII文件閱讀檔:獨立終端機程式。 • 不只是查詢檢索更能人機互動: who, what, then and they good for. • 不僅是大量審定已被加入的文章，更提供額外文章資訊。

●審定文章資訊內容有: • author、title of each work、date of composition… • relative order of composition in oeuvre… • kind of work、prologues and epilogues…. ●與WordCruncher Shakespeare差別: • 查詢、分類整理、統計、分析文章→精確率 • ”king”在哈姆雷特搜尋: WordCruncher →出現台詞、特定演員、角本縮寫…..。 Micro-OCP →能夠指定哈姆雷特中king台詞。

WordCruncher and Electronic 光碟資料庫和電子資料庫的比較

WordCruncher • 光碟資料庫較著重於原文的呈現，特別是強調原文內的文字，尤其是原文裡面的中心思想和意義更是此光碟資料庫所要強調的！然而文章中也和Micro-OCP資料庫做比較，這其中的差異是在Micro-OCP資料庫會指出個別字的版本，而WordCruncher資料庫通常不會強調那麼多字的版本!而比較重視字的實質意義!

Electronic • 而電子資料庫所強調的是專業化以及人文學者持續地擴大資料庫，並且考慮到資料庫變化的程度，電子資料庫和光碟資料庫最大的不同是在於電子資料庫會持續的更新而光碟資料庫更新的速度慢，但是相較於光碟資料庫的檢索速度電子資料庫的速度會較慢!

The Oxford University Press • The Oxford University Press是屬於電子資料庫！ • 目前是人文學科最具權威性的電子出版品，而這個電子資料庫所涵蓋的範圍也非常的廣大，不論是英文、愛爾蘭、威爾斯等國家的作者，都是維持這個資料庫的動力！而電子資料庫的花費相當的大，更要在有限的資源裡取得可用的資訊！

The Library of the Future • 這部分所強調的是圖書館資料庫未來的趨勢，包含了世界文學、宗教、哲學、科學…等等，是要朝著多元文化去發展的！
