Credit system used at the institution • JSC " S.Seifullin KATU" is in the credit technology of education since 2004 • Bachelor program • Master program • PhD program • Second education • Dual diploma with the University of Applied Science Weihenstephan, Germany in “Agrarian Management” • Multilingual Education since 2012

  6. Alignment (or lack of) with the Bologna Process • "State Program for the Development of Education in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2005-2010", Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 11, 2004 No. 1459 - Accession of Kazakhstan to the Bologna Process.

  7. Use (or lack of) ECTS • The procedure for credit transfer is carried out according to the type of ECTS in order to implement the principles of the Bologna Declaration. • Aims: • development of a culture of forming flexible educational trajectories, synchronization and harmonization of training programs in courses and specialties; • implementation of two-diploma education, joint international educational programs developed in accordance with the Dublin descriptors, agreed with the European Framework of Qualifications; • creation of conditions for students’ academic mobility; • development of mechanisms for mutual recognition and re-enumeration of disciplines and periods of study, qualifications and degrees in foreign universities; • ensuring the quality, attractiveness and competitiveness of KATU in the international educational space; • ensuring the convertibility of higher education documents for the equal participation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the international scientific and educational space.

Student mobility process • The direction for training in foreign partner universities within the framework of external academic mobility is carried out on the basis of international and treaties between KATU them. S.Seifullin and partner universities. • The number of credits for study by students in partner universities during the period of external academic mobility should be at least 15 ECTS credits and not less than 18 credits in Asia, the USA for undergraduate and not less than 18 ECTS credits and at least 12 credits in Asia and the USA for magistracy. • The responsible executor of the ICMEDC (International Cooperation and Multilingual Education Development Center) provides registration of applications for students (application letter). • When planning and organizing academic mobility, the following documents are used: • the application of a student traveling under mobility programs; • an agreement on training in mobility programs; • transcript about the training; • informational package. • The results of the diagnostic test are communicated to the members of the Commission confidentially, prior to the interview, and are used by them when deciding whether to send a candidate for external academic mobility. The composition of the Commission is formed by the order of the Chairman of the Board of KATU. S.Seifullin at the suggestion of the ICMEDC in an odd number, consisting of not less than 7 people. • The protocol of the Commission is the main document for the further organization of external academic mobility of candidates who have successfully passed the selection. • The ICMEDC jointly with the deans of the faculties determine the list of partner universities in each specialty of students. The organization of external academic mobility is carried out on the basis of a tripartite agreement concluded between S. Seifullin KATU, a partner institution and participant in external academic mobility. • On the basis of the letter of invitation, participants of external academic mobility, together with the department, prepare an individual curriculum. • Based on the tripartite agreement on the program of external academic mobility, the discipline - the differences that are specified in the contract, are studied using Distance Education Technology. (DET) The current control, boundary control number 1, boundary control No.2 are also accepted using DET and are exhibited by the teacher of S. Seifullin KATU in AIS ( Automatic Information System) "Platonus" within the terms established by the academic calendar of KATU.

  10. Credit transfer process Credit transfer of ECTS into credits of the Republic of Kazakhstan is carried out by dividing ECTS credits, back - by multiplying by a conversion factor. At the same time, credits are formed in whole units. Credit transfer of the RK and ECTS is made taking into account the workload of the ECTS credit according to the table:

  11. Grade conversion process The transfer of the assessments of the academic achievements of the rating letter system into the ECTS grades is carried out as follows. The ECTS grading scale is based on a rating that allows you to assess how a student performed work relative to others. The ECTS scale initially divides trainees between past and untrained students and then assesses the performance of these two groups separately.
