Transformational VS Transactional • Transactional • Boss tells you what to do; you do it • Minimal interaction in making decisions • Command determines action; no creative thinking • Transformational • Leader inspired with vision to make meaningful change • Leader invites & empowers others to create new solution • Followers become innovative team, not just workers Transformational Leadership
What does a Leader do? • Leaders inspire a Culture of growth & contribution • Culture is “How we do thing here” - emerging from core beliefs, values, character • Parents, Grandparents create family culture • Teachers create the culture of a classroom. • Pastors ,elders, and leadership team create church culture Transformational Leadership
How do Leaders Create Culture? • Leaders develop their personal interior culture - beliefs, values and character • Leaders authentically model their culture to the Team • Good Leaders are made in the hands of God, in the fire of experience Transformational Leadership
