The eight elvises!!!!!!!!!!!!! Andy warhol, The eight Elvis Percle (1963) Silkscreen on canvas, Private collection
Description • The artwork title describes the eight elvises. • In this painting Andy Warhol use many texture and shading. The way that he use the shading make it look dimensional, and the color that he use is old school by using black and white as his colors. The artwork was made by a silkscreen. By looking at the drawing makes it look so realistic and dimensional. Some of the legs looks like there fading away but that makes the artwork look nice. It doesn’t have that much texture.
Analysis • The eight elvises are repeated with different shadings. When you look at it you see three dimensional elvies. The painting has a movement in it, and it also has lost of shadings. The color is kind of dull.
Interpretation • AndyWarhol The eight elvises, makes me feel that Andy Warhol really likes famous celebrates. It also makes me think that Andy Warhol like's to listen to music like pop. His artwork is really specific to he makes so dimensional and when you look at it they look like there moving. The artwork represents the music from the past and him drawing the most famous pop singers.
Judgment • This art movement painting has inspired me to research more artwork more by Andy Warhol. Andy also made a painting of Michael Jackson the king of the pop. Now that painting looks realistic almost all of his paintings looks realistic. But the one that inspired me the most was the eight elvieses that’s the best one that I seen in my life. I like the painting because of the shading that he use and he made look so three dimensional. That is why I chose this painting has my project.
