Curriculum Math- Common Core • Scott Foresman/ TERC Learning Objectives • Conceptual understanding of operations • Memorize math facts (addition, subtraction and multiplication)-focus on this at home!!!! • Rounding numbers • Place Value Logic • Strategies for estimation • Time (to the minute and elapsed), measurement • Money (count and represent $ to 100.00) • Geometry (3D shapes, transformation of shapes) • Problem Solving (real world math) Singapore Math • Word problems (complex)

Hero of the Week • Friday – student receives information and paper to create a poster • Monday- bring in poster, Who Am I? sheet • Tuesday- bring in snack for the class • Wednesday-bring in collection or show hobby • Thursday – bring in Mystery Box item • Friday – Book Talk by student about a good book

Art Masterpiece • This program is a national art enrichment program that is taught at Hull Elementary on an entirely volunteer basis. • Volunteer Art Guides do not have to have a background in art, and most do not. • The lessons cover a wide range of artists and art styles in order to promote art literacy. • Hull has a dedicated art classroom to teach these lessons! • Check out the Art Classroom Today – Room #28
