  2. What is Title I? Title I is a FEDERAL program that provides money to schools based on the # of students that receive free or reduced lunch. This money can be used for a variety of school needs, but there are guidelines for spending.

  3. Bailey Elementary Title I Funding • We receive $151,160.32 How are the funds used? • 2 teachers (to keep class size at minimum) • Pre-k transition • Homeless supplies/needs • Parent involvement supplies • Eureka Homework books for 4th/5th • Reading consumables • Tutoring

  4. How Do We Use Title I Funds? • Personnel (Salary and Benefits) • Teachers • Instructional Supplies • Technology • Homeless Students • Parent Involvement • Agendas • Information Nights (EOG, Transition, Curriculum) • Homework consumable for 4th/5th grade math

  5. Important Items • The Title I budget is decided upon and approved by our school Leadership Team, which includes parental input. • A yearly needs assessment is completed to drive the use of Title I money. • Compliance documentation has to be compiled yearly to document that we are meeting the 10 components of Title I – this is aligned to our School Improvement Plan

  6. What Can I Do As A Parent? • Stay informed • Review: Tuesday folders • Progress Reports and Report Cards • Listen for Connect-Ed. Messages (both phone and email) • Get Involved • PTO • Curriculum/Information Nights • Participate in Surveys/Provide Feedback
