Turner County Demographics Population- 9,474 individuals (2005) Persons below poverty level- 22.4% (2003) Per Capita income- $20,368 (2003) Children below poverty- 33.6% (2003) Unemployment rate- 6.9% (FY 2005) Population receiving Medicaid-41.8% (2005) Adults, 25+, who did not graduate high school-32.3% No local hospital Three full time practicing physicians
