FRAC Role and Purpose 2014 • Through the specialist technical groups (Working Groups, Expert Fora) consider new information and data and give resistance management advice accordingly • Produce and publish updated Working Group, Expert Fora recommendations. Support the Banana FRAC WG through its change of leadership • Actively participate in conferences and symposia to promote the activities of FRAC (e.g. IUPAC, Grape Disease Meeting, German CP Conference, APS) • Actively participate in the EPPO Resistance Panel to ensure outcomes favourable for sustainable resistance management. • Continue to build stronger links with Regional FRAC groups including WGs, as well as FRAG groups, especially NL, China • Promote FRAC as a credible, "centre of expertise and knowledge" • update the FRAC "List of Resistant Plant Pathogenic Organisms" • update validated sensitivity testing methodologies for WGs and Expert Fora, including molecular methods in some cases • Update the FRAC Code list and publish • update the FRAC MOA poster and publish (electronic versions) • Roll out the new FRAC website

FRAC Objectives 2014 • New initiatives: • Ensure EPPO PP1/213 Standard revision is acceptable to industry, in particular resistance risk evaluation). • Establish a scientific collaboration concerning the role of azole use in agriculture on the sensitivity of Aspergillus fumigatus. Participate in the 6th Congress: Advances against Aspergillosis. • Understand and support CLI's requirements re resistance management education. • Support the smooth transition to the new Secretary / Treasurer, Banana FRAC chair, CAA Chair. • Encourage the formation of a QiI WG (in Japan or in Europe). • Use the roll out of the new website to update content, e.g. Glossary of terms). • Understand how we can support resistance management of fungicides for which there are no FRAC WGs. • Resolve technical questions • address questions / issues directed to FRAC
