  2. North West London – Child Nursing A 4.6% oversupply is predicted in 2018/19. Indicates year in which, in general, alterations to commissions in 2014/15 will have an effect on the workforce. Rationale for decision A predicted 4.6% oversupply in five years’ time is a desirable state for the profession. Commissions should therefore be maintained. • Factors leading to final demand and supply figures • No alterations were made by the stakeholder group to attrition, vacancy, and uptake assumptions. • The following key points were noted by the stakeholder group. • Overall the stakeholder groups at the 2 workforce conference workshops were supportive of the proposal to maintain the current commissioning volumes. • The critical gap in neonatal nursing was discussed. Potential ways of addressing this, though placements and use of rotations, were considered, and there is a specific project under way in HENWL to address the supply issues for neonatal nursing.
