Class Team Project • Purpose • to gain experience in developing and composing a complete project plan for a chosen topic • to gain experience in virtual teaming
Class Team Project • Organization • teams are to be composed of 2-5 students • teams should have at least one remote member, not co-located • teams are to be self-organized and self-managed • teams must be formed by the end of the 11th week of the semester Nov. 1st
Class Team Project • Organization (continued) • a list of team members and the team leader must be submitted by the beginning of the 11th week of the semester. Nov 1st • Project Topics • teams are free to select a project topic • a one-page summary of the project topic must be submitted by the end of the 11th week of the semester. Nov. 1st
Class Team Project • Project Topics (continued) • Typical topics: • project being considered at one team member’s company • project to start a business • project to construct or design something • service project • Submitted plan covers how the chosen project topic would be completed – the project does not to be done during the semester

Class Team Project • oral project presentation (continued) • teams with all or most members outside this range must submit a integrated 4 minute videotaped presentation or other presentation form with the approval of the instructor to be played during the project presentations • all presentations should cover the highlights of the project, major charts, risk analysis, and what was learned from the experience of doing the project plan and working in a group • add value to your classmates in your presentation
