  2. Vicki Hayes, a former SCI student from the 80s, reads a story to a senior kindergarten class.

  3. 80s fashion. It was all about the shoes and the hair!

  4. The Silverthorn girls gym uniform of the 80s. As usual, very flattering!

  5. Just having a good time clowning around, doing what we Spartans do best!

  6. Ah, the things we made grade nines do just for the fun of it.

  7. Cheerleaders helped promote school spirit back in the 80s and the turnouts at the games were huge!

  8. Have you ever seen so many Silverthorn students at a football game?

  9. The old football scoreboard...whatever happened to that?

  10. Our very own Miss. Irvine was the first female to be on the football team in the TDSB. She graduated from Silverthorn in 1989

  11. Mrs. Sakamoto also graduated from Silverthorn in 1989

  12. Terra Cotta. The original Camp Manitou

  13. Roughing it in tents at Terra Cotta. Silverthorn’s outdoor education program for grade 10 students had run for 15 years at this point.

  14. Can you believe it? Exams were held in the gym!

  15. Mr. Petterson was captain of the football team.

  16. There were very unusual classes offered at Silverthorn, in the 1980s.

  24. Silverthorn still honours this 80s English department head by rewarding one student each year with an award in his name.

  25. Silverthorn celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 1989.
