State level Inter Departmental Working Group (IDWG) – Function • Interaction with the DAC-GOI. • Monitor implementation of the extension reforms within the State. • Promoting and supporting integrated extension delivery. • Inter Departmental linkages - line departments, marketing input and credit institutions, NGOs, private/corporate sector • Major issues related to implementation of the scheme.

FARM INFORMATION AND ADVISORY CENTER (FIAC)Block Technology Team (BTT) - Constitution • Block level officers of, • Agriculture • Horticulture • Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science • Plant Protection • Soil Conservation • Extension • Sericulture • Cooperative • Marketing etc. • The senior most official irrespective of the participating departments heads the Block Technology Team as BTT Convenor.

BTT - Functions • Facilitate formation of FIG / FOs • Operationalize SREP • Prepare Block Action Plan • Coordinate implementation • Assist in updating Strategic Research and Extension Plan (SREP) • BTT Convenor receives funds at Block level • Field programmes are implemented by participating departments based on approved plans and funds allocated.

Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs) • Village level groups of farmers involved around an activity or a commodity • Covers both formal and informal groups • Village FIGs/SHGs will ultimately federate at block/ district level and be represented in Farmer Advisory Committee and ATMA Governing Board • Scheme provides for support to FIGs both in terms of Managerial Capacity Building and technical Backstopping • FIGs are also linked to concerned institutions/programmes to avial needed support for sustainability

Support for SAMETIsPer year ( Rs in Lakh) • Pay and Allowances of Faculty/ support - born by the state • Operational expenses and technical assistance -9.00 lakh • iii) Documentation of success stories etc. (preparation and dissemination). 3.00 lakh • iv) Vehicle hiring - 3.00 lakh • Equipment - 6.00 Lakh (Ist Year) • One time grant for building maintenance/ furnishing of training halls- 5.00 Lakh ( Ist Year)

Routing of funds (Identification of State level autonomous body) • The scheme is proposed to be funded on 90:10 pattern between Government of India and State/UT. • The funds are proposed to be routed through an autonomous institute/SAMETI. • Such an institution may be identified and its name may be communicated to this Department. • Requisite action for meeting State’s share may also be initiated.
