  6. Volunteers Laura Hernandez Volunteer Services Associate • In the past yearapproximately • 3000 volunteers connected with Interfaith • 126,000 hot meals and sack lunches were distributed.

  7. Approximately 500 people sleep under an Interfaith roof each night. • Haven House, a no barrier shelter, is one of the housing programs at Interfaith. Housing Jeri Bachman Program Manager of Rapid Rehousing

  8. Path to Permanence Path to Permanence (P2P) is a crisis housing and rapid rehousing program that provides short term temporary housing up to 90 days for 16 homeless families and families escaping domestic violence.

Board Nomination Process Why are we voting now? • Spring 2018: Governance Committee updated board recruitment process • Spring 2018: Renewed members but no new members nominated • Summer/Fall 2018: Reviewed and nominated 5 new board members using new process • Today: Request membership vote of the nominees. Board Recruitment • Current priority areas • Hispanic Community representation • Individuals younger than retirement age • Individuals with Lived Experiences relatable to our clients • Faith communities representation • Fundraising resources and connections to potential donors • Who is involved? • Early nominations: Members, board and staff • Candidate review & Nomination: Governance committee, CEO and Board chair • Review and Approval: Board and Membership • Goals • Develop a capable and well-functioning board to support Interfaith • Increase the diversity of skills, perspectives and backgrounds of board members • Follow a fair and consistent recruitment process • Diversity is important • Diverse perspectives are needed to plan for the future, make prudent decisions, and take full advantage of opportunities. • Interfaith’s grantors and contractors are increasingly requiring us to report client, staff and board diversity
