  2. Attention Parents: • Do you want a website where your kids can play games while still learning? • NickJr.com is just the place. They can play games with their favorite television characters and not even know they are learning at the same time! • There are many games to choose from on this site. • One game is “Diego’s Puzzle Pyramid”. • Want to find out more about the game? Continue through the PowerPoint!

  3. What Do You Need To Play? • Mouse/Clicker • Internet Access • Keyboard (for some games)

Simulated Aspects • Helps children with their problem solving skills; If I click this box will I be able to get rid of all the blocks as a group? • Teaches you to pay attention • If you start clicking without paying attention to the whole puzzle first, chances are you will not end up with the highest score possible. • Also, you may not open the pyramid doors for Diego.

  5. Goal The goal is to open the pyramid door. To do this, you find groups of the same block and click on them to make them disappear. The blocks have to be next to each other and touching. When the game starts, you chose whether you want your blocks to be categorized by the following; color, animals, fruits, gadgets, or surprise. You have to go through all 10 levels to open the door.

  6. Go as fast as possible, but give yourself enough time to think about what you are doing • Make sure you don’t make blocks disappear if that will mean only 1 block of the same pattern with be left • Look at the whole puzzle before you begin! Tell your kids the best ways to help Diego open the doors and enjoy watching them! S T R A T E G I E S

  7. Enjoyment Kids really enjoy this game because they feel as if they are really helping Diego The levels get harder, keeping the kids focused on the game As you play, your score increases, making kids want to get a better score every time they play

Overall… • I think this game is great for children • It is a fun and effective way to get young brains working and learning basic skills • Diego’s Puzzle Pyramid, along with many other games on the site, are fun and can be addicting. • The best part is, the children are having fun with their favorite television friends while still learning every day skills that they will use all throughout their life.
