Warm up • Choose one character that you will be playing in your act. What will be some of your strengths in playing this character? What might be some challenges you will face?
Today’s activities • Begin rehearsals • HW: Read scene 3.6 with questions online
In your groups • Discuss your ideas for how to play: • Setting • Props • Costumes • Begin rehearsals. Be up on your feet, and make notes in your master script as you go on movement, blocking
In general keep up and about, walking through and gesturing through as many scenes as possible. • Most of your success will depend on whether or not I can see that you’ve thought carefully about how to stage your act to emphasize the right emotions and ideas. This emphasis is given by tone of voice and the speed with which you talk, as well as movement on stage.
If you have not yet made plans for meeting outside of class, now is the time to start looking at your calendars for the last 2 weeks of April. An outside rehearsal is not required, it is an important element in nearly every A performance
