  4. Balboa’s Education and Childhood • His education is unknown. • Lived in a poor family • Was the third of 4 brothers • Served in a rich nobleman household. • Mother was a lady of Badajoz in Southwestern Spain. • Father: Don Nuno Arias de Balboa.
