  6. Regulation of Lactation Suckling Stimulates pituitary gland to release Prolactin and Oxytocin Prolactin stimulates alveoli to secrete milk Oxytocin stimulates alveoli to eject milk

  7. Mother’s milk is rich in protein, fat, calcium Provides antibodies for immunity Stronger emotional bond between mother and child Recommend 6 months to one year Importance of Lactation
