Bullying behaviour... -is deliberate and repeated over time.
BULLYING takes many forms:- physical assault- teasing/ name calling - making threats- stealing belongings- interfering with someone's locker/ school bag/ journal- excluding others
What is cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is the act of bullying someone using technology such as a computer or a mobile phone.
Multiple replays make you relive the trauma over & over & over.
-Sharing another person’s secrets/embarrasing information/images on line
- Deliberately excluding someone from (an online group)/blocking them for no reason
-Creating websites/online presence to make fun of someone such as a teacher/classmate.
-Sending or posting rumours about someone to damage their reputation
-Something sent as a joke can be deeply upsetting for recipient. Sender says they are only ‘messing’.
Remember: Words can be powerful weapons that can leave a permanent wound.
Lack of compassion for the recipient. People say things online that they wouldn’t say in person.
Remember: If you wouldn’t say it in person, why say it online?
Bullies hide behind anonymity/are faceless tormentors who think there will be no comeback.
