NCBMP Tipping Survey OVERVIEW • A survey assessing perceptions and personal habits surrounding tipping practices was administered to persons attending the national conference of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners (NCBMP). One-hundred forty-five (145) persons responded to the survey.

NCBMP Tipping Survey Findings SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES ACCORDING TO GENDER (N=145) Room Service is used significantly more frequently by females than males. Proper Dress is significantly more important to males than to females.
NCBMP Tipping Survey Findings SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES ACCORDING TO SALARY CATEGORY (N=145) Bellhop service is used significantly more frequently by persons earning over $60,000 than by persons earning $60,000 or less. Room Service is used significantly more frequently by personsearning over $60,000 than by persons earning $60,000 or less. Proper Dress is significantly more important to persons earning$60,000 or less than to persons earning over $60,000.
